Tree Preservation Order (TPO) and Conservation Area Tree Reports

There is a general assumption by local planning authorities against pruning or removing protected trees unless the works can be properly justified.

There are various tried and tested methods for justifying tree works and each report will be tailored to your particular needs.

There are three methods of delivery to help keep costs down:

  1. Site visit and advice - with a view to applying to the local planning authority yourself
  2. Site visit, advice and application submitted to the local planning authority on your behalf
  3. Site visit, advice, report prepared and application submitted to the local planning authority on your behalf

Here's what some of my customers have to say about my TPO and Conservation Area Tree Report services

I was contacted by Trevor within a short time following my request for information on prices etc. The visit and report were carried out extremely quickly and our report was to remove a diseased ash tree in our front garden with a TPO. We are very happy with the excellent and knowledgeable service Trevor provided us and would happily recommend his services to others!

Laura (Leigh on Sea)

A Douglas Fir close to our house had become extremely large and was shedding an increasing number of dead branches. The tree is in a conservation area and we approached Trevor Heaps for advice. Trevor surveyed the tree and produced a very detailed report on the age and condition of the tree. He advised that although the tree was not imminently dangerous it would be better to have it cut down before it causes damage. He negotiated with the Borough's planning office on our behalf and permission has been granted for the tree to be cut down. I am sure that without his expertise we would have had very little success dealing with a problem of a tree in a conservation area. He saved us time and money.

Ian (Hatfield)
